Jason Nguyen joined the UNLV during the summer of 2025 as a Sports Science Coordinator. In his role, he is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of performance for Women's Volleyball, Track & Field, Baseball, and Softball.
In his previous role, Nguyen worked at Fresno State University as a Sports Performance Coach from 2022-2025 and was tasked with the year-round programming for Women's Tennis, Track & Field, and Equestrian. In addition, he assisted with the athletic development of athletes in Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, and Women's Water Polo. He also completed Olympic sports performance internships at Stanford University and California State University, Fullerton between 2021-2022.
A native of Santa Ana, California, Nguyen graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.S. in Kinesiology, Sports Studies in 2018 as well as the University of Mississippi with a M.S. in Sports Analytics in 2025. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
