Justin Campbell joined UNLV Athletics in January 2025 as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services. In this role, Campbell oversees the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Compliance office and serves as the primary compliance liaison for Football, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball.

Campbell is the primary liaison to the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities and assists with compliance functions related to the Office of General Counsel. Additionally, Campbell plays an integral role in UNLV’s Name, Image and Likeness (“NIL”) initiatives through the educational platform The Vegas Effect.

Campbell chairs several key committees within the department, including the Student-Athlete Welfare Advancement Team (“SWAT”), Strategic Planning Committee, Drug Testing Committee and SAF Committee. He also serves as a sport administrator for the UNLV Men’s Tennis program and as a member of the athletics department senior staff.

Before arriving in Las Vegas, Campbell spent three years at Florida Atlantic University as the associate athletics director for compliance. Prior to his tenure at FAU, he was the director of compliance at Wake Forest University and also worked in compliance at East Tennessee State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University, Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing. During his time at NCCU, he played four seasons as a running back for the football team from 2007 to 2011. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
