Joining UNLV in 1993 as an intern, Mark Wallington currently oversees communications for Rebel football, men's tennis and women's tennis. He also serves as the sport administrator for the women’s tennis program and oversees the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame. A member of the department's Senior Staff, in 2015 he was named Senior Assistant Athletics Director for Communications and elevated to Associate AD in 2022.
A two-time graduate of the University of Florida, Wallington earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in sports administration. In 2002 he married the former Wendy Best and the couple has two daughters, UNLV student Tessa Mae and Tallis Marie. A winner of more than 30 CoSIDA publication and writing awards, he was honored with the organization's 25-Year Award in 2020. His football media guide was named Best in Nation in both 2019 and 2021.
