Becky Pugh became the Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Academic Services in January of 2013, then promoted to Associate AD in 2018 and Senior Associate AD in 2024. Pugh is a member of the Athletics Executive Staff and the Academic Success Center Executive Staff. In her role, she is directly responsible for monitoring and maintaining academic eligibility compliance with the NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. In addition, she is responsible for promoting the academic success and retention of all student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Student-Athlete Academic Services and is the academic eligibility specialist and secondary sport administrator for women's basketball.
Pugh started her path at UNLV as a student-athlete in the sport of softball in 2002. In 2007, she earned a B.S. in Physical Education K-12 with a Minor in Adapted Physical Education. In 2009, she earned a Master's Degree in Athletic Administration. She started her work experience in the UNLV Department of Athletics as a Compliance Assistant in 2006 and from there went from Assistant Director in 2007 to Director for Compliance in 2010.
In addition to her role as Senior Associate Athletics Director, Pugh serves as a member of the following university/department committees: Top Tier Campus Partnerships (Athletics Lead), UNLV Administrative Faculty Committee, First Generation Student Advisory Board, UNLV APR Committee, UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame, Athletic Scholarships & Appeals Committee, Athletics Policies and Procedures Committee, Athletics Inclusion Committee, Rebel SWAT, and the Intercollegiate Athletics Council.
She and her husband Chris, have a son, Max, and a daughter, Vera.
