Men's Soccer Shuts Out San Diego State

LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior goalkeeper Ryan Bledsoe (Las Vegas, NV/Eldorado) made seven saves and shutout San Diego State to lead the Rebels to victory in their final home game of the season, 1-0.

After a scoreless first half, UNLV put the match?s only goal in the net at 47:22 on a shot from sophomore Tyler Turchi (Little Rock, AR/Pulaski Academy) from the corner of the box.

While the game remained fairly even and tight, the Aztecs could not put anything past Bledsoe, who tallied his first shutout of the year on Senior Day at Johann Field. Bledsoe and three other Rebel seniors were honored in a pre-game ceremony.

San Diego State drops to 4-13-0 on the year and 0-6-0 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. UNLV lifts its record to 7-10-0, 2-4-0 in the conference. They will play the final regular season game at New Mexico next Sunday, Nov. 7, in Albuquerque, NM.
