LAS VEGAS - UNLV defensive back Kevin Thomas has been named first-team All-Mountain West Conference by Football News, the magazine announced.

Thomas, who leads the conference with a single-season school record 20 pass breakups through 10 games this fall, was the only Rebel voted to the 24-man team.

Thomas has two touchdowns this season: an interception for a score at North Texas and a game-winning, NCAA-record tying 100-yard fumble return at Baylor. He currently leads the squad with four interceptions.
