LAS VEGAS - Fans can hit the links with UNLV head football coach Jeff Horton and his staff at the UNLV Rebel Football Foundation's Fourth Annual Kick-Off Golf Tournament, the school announced Monday.

Set this year for Wednesday, August 26, the UNLV Rebel Football Foundation puts on the fundraiser each summer in order to increase membership while also raising awareness of the Rebels' upcoming football season.

Sponsored by Pepsi, this year's golf tournament will take place at The Legacy course in Green Valley.

Registration and a continental breakfast will kick things off at 6:30 a.m. Using a scramble format, the shotgun start is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and features hosted beverages on the course. Lunch will be served at noon and will include a silent auction and raffle.

The day also will include tee prizes as well as a long-drive, closest-to-hole and hole-in-one contest.

Entry fees are $150 per player or $550 for a foursome, which includes a commemorative golf shirt and a photo with coach Horton. Tee sponsorships are available for $125. Call Terry Cottle at 895-3454 to register or for more information. Entry deadline is August 24.
