LAS VEGAS, NV: The UNLV Runnin' Rebels will be a participant in the 2000 Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament hosted by Chaminade University.

The pre-season tournament, held in Lahaina, Maui, will be played Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 20-22, at the Lahaina Civic Center.

The 2000 Maui Invitational is a traditional college basketball showcase. The 2000 edition will feature a stellar eight-team field which includes host Chaminade (Division II) and seven Division I teams: Arizona, Connecticut, Dayton, Illinois, Louisville, Maryland, and UNLV.

Chaminade University, host to the Maui Invitational, is a private, co-educational school overlooking Diamond Head and Waikiki.
