TEMPE - The UNLV Rebel softball team fell to No. 5 Arizona State University Friday despite a tremendous pitching performance from sophomore Nicole Truax. The Rebels are now 13-15 on the season and will challenge the Sundevils tomorrow at 6pm and again on Sunday at 1pm. ASU improves to 30-5 on the season.
Truax held the Sundevils to six hits with one run scoring in the second inning. Racheal Goodpaster went 2 for 3 on the day with one stolen base and five assists on defense. Melissa Inouye and Debbie Hatch also tallied hits in the game, but the Rebels struggled to produce runs leaving four runners stranded on base.
