Cyprien Headed To Oklahoma State

Aug. 14, 2000

LAS VEGAS - UNLV men's basketball associate head coach Glynn Cyprien has accepted an assistant coaching position at Oklahoma State, the school announced Monday.

Cyprien, 33, spent the past five seasons as UNLV's recruiting coordinator, helping UNLV land such prized recruits as current NBA players Keon Clark, Shawn Marion and Tyrone Nesby.

"Cyp was a tremendous asset who will be greatly missed," UNLV head coach Bill Bayno said. "We are sorry to see him go, but understand that it is a part of the business. It's a tremendous opportunity for him to go work with Eddie Sutton, and we wish him the best of luck.

"In the mean time, I am devoting my full attention to finding a qualified replacement as quickly as possible."
