LAS VEGAS - The UNLV baseball team will hold its first Intrasquad World Series this weekend. Fans are invited to come out and watch head coach Jim Schlossnagle's 2002 Rebels in the three-game series. The first game is set for Thursday at 3 p.m.

"I'm excited to see our guys play in a competitive situation with something on the line," Schlossnagle said. "I hope that all Rebel fans will want to attend a game or two to get a preview of this upcoming season's team.

"Particularly, Saturday's game at 11 a.m. gives Rebel fans a chance to see some baseball before heading out to Sam Boyd Stadium for the football game."

The final game of the series will be played Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All three Intrasquad World Series games are free of charge and open to the public.
