UNLV POST-GAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH JOHN ROBINSON

ON THE GAME: "It was an exciting, good football game that got away from us. We had our chances to win and we just didn't do it. We made mistakes. They made mistakes."

"It's too early for me to try and analyze the team. Now is not the time to analyze. We just lost a tough game. We missed a (a second-half) field goal and they made one. You could say that was the game but I don't know that it was."

"Our team played hard tonight. We did the things we thought we could do in the running game if not the passing game. We're just not winning the close games."

ON THE REST OF THE SEASON: "Right now is not the appropriate time for me to make an evaluation on the rest of the season. We just lost a football game. Whatever the reason, we aren't getting over the hump."

ON CHANCES OF MAKING A BOWL GAME: "We'll come in tomorrow and try and get stronger. I don't think our football team needs anything (to motivate). We will be up to the challenge of the rest of the season."

ON PLAYING INJURED RB DOMINIQUE DORSEY, WHO LEFT THE GAME: "It was probably a mistake to have him play so soon. He lost the ball twice (on fumbles). We probably should have been more cautious with him." (Dorsey now has two ankle sprains and is listed doubtful for next week's game at Wyoming).

COLORADO STATE HEAD COACH SONNY LUBICK
"I was pleased with the effort. Early in the game, the defense did a great job, especially in the first quarter. We forced some turnovers.

"Our special teams play was huge for us. We made some big plays, finally.

"Henri Childs was two for two. He threw two good balls, right on target.

"We were inconsistent on offense. But we ran the ball well at times.

ON USING UNCONVENTIONAL PLAYS: "Sometimes, you have to do that. They are going to make you drive it 70 or 80 yards. You are not going to do that running it five yards at a time. They are a good defense. If you can mix one of those in there for 20 or 30 yards, you have a chance to drive it. Those things helped our running game.
