LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's and women's basketball teams will hold Rebel Fan Jam 2001, on Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The doors will open at 5 p.m. with the event scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
Fan Jam 2001 will feature a dunk contest and a scarlet and gray scrimmage for the men and a 3-point contest and a scarlet and gray scrimmage for the women.
Free posters will be available to all fans in attendance and both squads will be available for autographs. The UNLV band and cheerleaders will also be present for the festivities.
All available plaza and courtside seats for Runnin' Rebel games will be marked accordingly and be available for purchase at Fan Jam 2001. Fans purchasing tickets during the event will receive a free Runnin' Rebel t-shirt.
Lady Rebel season tickets will also be on sale at the event, which is co-sponsored by CSUN Student Government Entertainment and Programming.
The Runnin' Rebels, under new head coach Charlie Spoonhour, will open the exhibition schedule against the EA Sports All-Stars on Sat., Nov. 10 at 7:35 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLV will host an open house for that game as all seats on the balcony level will be free. Free tickets will be available for pickup on the day of the game (Nov. 10) only.
The Lady Rebels, under fourth-year head coach Regina Miller, will open the exhibition schedule against Delta Kosice (Slovakia) on Thurs., Nov. 8 at 7:35 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion.
