BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Freshman Kara Braxton had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 13 Georgia to a 77-62 win over UNLV on Saturday in the first round of the Oakland Tribune Classic.
UNLV (4-1) had a 47-38 lead with 13:11 remaining, but Georgia (4-0) went on a 15-4 run to take a 53-51 lead on Tina Taylor's jumper with 10:13 left.
Senior forward Linda Fr?hlich (Oldendorf, Germany) scored 16 of her game-high 27 points in the first half for the Lady Rebels.
UNLV will face Central Connecticut State (0-4) in the tournament consolation game tomorrow at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast locally on KENO 1460 AM and via an Internet link on unlvrebels.com.
