LAS VEGAS - UNLV baseball will host an alumni game at Earl E. Wilson Stadium on Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 2 p.m. The 2002 Rebel baseball team will play the UNLV alumni coached by former Rebel baseball head coach Fred Dallimore. Admission to the alumni game is free.

"The alumni game will be a great opportunity for UNLV fans to see some former players and current professionals and get an early view of the 2002 Rebels," said UNLV head coach Jim Schlossnagle. "I'm really excited that Coach Dallimore is coming back on campus as well. This will be a really exciting day and a good test for our ballclub. I want to personally invite all Rebel fans to join us."

The baseball alumni game will immediately follow the UNLV softball program's exhibition game. The softball exhibition will be not only the public's first look at this season's Rebel softball squad, but also the first peek at its new $2.7 million facility. The softball dedication ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 with the game set for noon.
