LAS VEGAS - Statement by UNLV Athletics Director Charles Cavagnaro regarding Rick Majerus:

"Today I talked with Rick Majerus regarding the men's basketball coaching position at UNLV. Coach Majerus told me he was flattered by the interest. However, at this time he thinks the best thing for him is to stay with the Utah program. Our goal is to get the very best basketball coach for both UNLV and our community and that is what we plan on doing."
