Fr?hlich Nets 21 Against Former Mates

STEINBERG, Germany - In front of more than 150 friends and family, UNLV women's basketball star Linda Fr?hlich scored a game-high 21 points and led the Lady Rebels to a 72-50 victory over her former club team, SC Rist Wedel.

Most of those in attendance cheered wildly for Fr?hlich, a native of nearby Oldendorf, Germany, who spent three seasons playing with SC Rist Wedel before enrolling at UNLV. The Rebels' All-American candidate added a team-high seven boards.

Also pitching in for the victory were junior guard Constance Jinks, who scored 21 points, and junior center Dishawn McCracklin, who pulled down seven rebounds. Amtsberg, Germany, native Petra Gl?ser added 10 points and six rebounds in front of her family.

With the victory, the Lady Rebels improve to 2-0 on their 12-day, five-game tour. They complete their Germany portion of the trip and will enjoy an off day in Amsterdam, Netherlands before pressing on to Brugge, Belgium for a Saturday, Aug. 18, matchup against Deerlijk BBC in Gaverhal, Belgium.
