UNLV (4-6) looks to keep its bowl hopes alive when it hosts Air Force (7-3) Saturday ... The home finale will feature pre-game ceremonies honoring 23 Rebels playing their final regular-season game at Sam Boyd Stadium ... UNLV is 15-18-1 all-time on Senior Day and has won just five of its last 20 home finales ... UNLV is coming off a 28-17 loss at Utah while AFA captured its sixth consecutive Commander-in-Chief's Trophy by downing Army 49-30 ... UNLV has started the league slate 2-3 for the third straight season with Utah having handed out the third loss each time ... The Rebels, who downed Wyoming at home two weeks ago, are attempting to win two consecutive MWC games at SBS for the first time since Oct. 21 and Nov. 11, 2000 ... UNLV is gunning for its fourth home victory of 2002, a mark the team has reached only once in the last seven years (6-0 at SBS in 2000) ... The game marks UNLV's first appearance of the season on ESPN+Plus ... The Rebels have a 3-3 record when playing in the MWC Game of the Week, including last year's upset at Air Force.

FALCONS vs. REBELS NOTES

Air Force leads the all-time series 4-3 but UNLV has won the last two ... The Rebels have outscored the Falcons 68-23 in the last two meetings, including a UNLV series-best 24-point win last year that was the school's first at the Academy ... John Robinson is 2-1 vs. the Faclons all-time while AFA head caoch Fisher DeBerry is 4-2 vs. the Rebels ... AFA is the only service academy team UNLV has ever faced ... The Falcons are one of only four teams that the Rebels have faced in each of the last seven years (Wyoming, CSU and in-state rival UNR are the others) ... The Rebels took a 24-21 decision over AFA in the teams' first meeting on Nov. 21, 1981, and it took 15 years for the Falcons to even the series when they spoiled UNLV's WAC debut with a resounding 65-17 win at Sam Boyd Stadium ... UNLV's has two players from the state of Colorado -- PK Dillon Pieffer from Colorado Springs' Coronado High School and QB Kurt Nantkes from Aurora's Hinkley High ... AFA lists one Nevadan on its roster -- junior WR Anthony Park out of Las Vegas High School -- who is second on the team with 10 receptions.
