UNLV won an overtime game for the first time in history. The Rebels had been 0-4 before tonight and had never even scored a touchdown in an extra period. The last OT was at Ole Miss on Oct. 28, 2000, and the last home OT game was Oct. 17, 1998, vs. Wyoming, which the Cowboys won 28-25.
Wyoming is now 2-2 in overtime games and three of those happened in Sam Boyd Stadium, including losing to BYU in the inaugural WAC Championship game on Dec. 7, 1996.

Jason Thomas passed for a career-high 329 yards and completed a career-high 20 passes in 25 attempts. The only other 300-yard game of his career was a 304-yard effort in a loss to Northwestern on Sept. 7, 2001. It is only the second time a Rebel quarterback reached the 300-yard mark since 1997.

UNLV's 644 yards of total offense were the second-best total in school history, behind the Rebels' 671 against Idaho on Nov. 5, 1977.
