LAS VEGAS - The UNLV football team is scheduled to pull on the pads for the first time this spring as part of Saturday's practice.
The team will work out on campus at the intramural fields off Harmon Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
However, head Coach John Robinson announced a time and venue change for this Sunday's practice only. Instead of a morning campus meeting, the team will head out to Sam Boyd Stadium to work out on its game surface from approximately 6 to 8 p.m.
Spring practice opened earlier this week with 86 players suiting up for the Rebels. The team, which is practicing each Tuesday, Thursday and weekend this month, continues to await for the completion of the new AstroPlay surface at the Ernie Becker Sr. Practice Fields at Bill "Wildcat" Morris Rebel Park, which is expected to be within 10 days.
The annual spring session, which is limited to 15 practices, will close with Kick Off 2002 at Rebel Park on April 27.
