LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's basketball program will host the 2003 UNLV Nike Championship Basketball Clinic on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25, at the Cox Pavilion.

The coaching clinic, which is being held in conjunction with Runnin' Rebel practices, features two UNLV men's basketball practices, one UNLV individual defensive workout and four guest speakers.

San Diego State University head coach and coach of 1989 National Champion University of Michigan Steve Fisher, Northern State University (South Dakota) head coach and 1989 and 1990 NAIA National Coach of the Year Don Meyer, Dixie State College (Utah) head coach and 2002 NJCAA Coach of the Year Jeff Kidder and UNLV head coach and 1994 National Coach of the Year Charlie Spoonhour are the scheduled speakers. The entire UNLV men's basketball coaching staff will be on hand as well.

Pre-registration for the clinic is $75 and registration at the door is $100. The deadline for pre-registration is Oct. 22. Each attendee will receive a gift bag, Nike clinic clipboard, pad and pen. Door prize drawings will be held as well.
