LAS VEGAS - The Rebels slipped to 2-6 in MWC play after falling at San Diego State last week, but the Rebels picked up their ninth win of the year by defeating Northern Arizona.
Seniors Leiana Oswald and Sheila Ocasio-Clemente each posted 33 kills last week to lead UNLV. Ocasio-Clemente added a team-high 12 blocks in the two matches. Oswald is third in the MWC with 4.06 kills per game, while Ocasio-Clemente is ninth in the league for blocks with 1.08 per game.
Since senior setter Nicki King's return to the lineup, UNLV is hitting .183 as a team, compared to just .018 in the four matches she missed.
UNLV travels to Nevada, Reno on Tuesday for a non-league tilt before hosting Wyoming and Colorado State this week.
