RENO, Nev. - The UNLV volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-16, 30-24, 30-20) decision to Nevada, Reno on Tuesday night at the Virginia Street Gym on the Wolfpack campus.
The Rebels drop to 9-12 on the season with the loss, while the Wolfpack improve to 12-12. UNLV hit .056 (34-28-107) to Reno's .301 (44-16-93) in the match. The Rebels have dropped their last six road matches and maintain a 6-1 record at home.
Patricia Assuncao led the Rebels with 11 kills and added three digs, while Tarin Keith put together nine kills and three digs.
Nicki King finished the match with 23 assists, three kills and five digs.
Leiana Oswald struggled offensively, managing only four kills on 28 attempts.
Reno was led by Salaia Salave'a's 16 kills, seven digs and 10 blocks.
UNLV returns home to host Wyoming at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.
