LAS VEGAS - UNLV head football coach John Robinson will be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame as one of three members of the Class of 2003.
The ceremony will take place December 31 at the annual Rose Bowl Game Kickoff/Hall of Fame Luncheon.
Robinson holds the distinction of having both played and coached in the Rose Bowl. He was a member of the 1957 Oregon Ducks squad that won the Pacific Coast Conference title, then was an assistant in three games in the early 1970s for USC under John McKay. As a head coach, Robinson led the Trojans to four Rose Bowl victories following the 1976, 1978, 1979 and 1995 seasons.
"My times playing and coaching in the Rose Bowl rank among the best of my life," Robinson, who is in his fifth season at UNLV, said. "The Rose Bowl is a special experience and I am honored to be associated with it."
