LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's basketball team will play the first of two exhibition games on Tuesday against the NWBL Elite -West Coast team at Cox Pavilion. The game will tip-off at 7:30 p.m., and tickets will be $2.00.

The Lady Rebels are ready to take the court for the first time in 2003-04, as UNLV will feature eight new players, including three transfers. UNLV does return one starter, preseason all-conference junior forward Sherry McCracklin, who was the second leading rebounder in the Mountain West Conference last year at 8.6 rpg, and also averaged 11.2 ppg.

UNLV, who posted a 17-12 record in 2002-03 and advanced to the postseason for the third straight year with a trip to the WNIT, will play another exhibition game on Friday, against the Latvian Select at 7:30 p.m. The Rebels will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 21 against Centenary at 5 p.m. in the Thomas & Mack Center, as part of a doubleheader with the UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's team. UNLV will also hold its annual "Meet the Lady Rebels Night" on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Board Room in the Thomas & Mack Center.
