LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's basketball team will play its second and final exhibition game on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. against the Latvian Select in the Thomas & Mack Center. Tickets will be $2.00.
The Lady Rebels dropped their first exhibition game to NWBL 83-75 on Tuesday night, after committing 17 turnovers in the second half. Sophomore guard Sheena Moore led UNLV with a team-high 18 points, while junior transfer forward RanDee Henry added 17 points in her first action for the Lady Rebels. Junior forward Sherry McCracklin also posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
UNLV, who posted a 17-12 record in 2002-03 and advanced to the postseason for the third straight year with a trip to the WNIT, will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 21 against Centenary at 5 p.m. in the Thomas & Mack Center, as part of a doubleheader with the UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's team.
