LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team defeated Northern Arizona 170-127 and tied UC Santa Barbara 131-131 in the final meet of the regular season. The UNLV men's team defeated UCSB 144-118.
The Rebel men's and women's teams opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. The women's team of Jessie Bradshaw, Shayna Burns, Julie Unrau and Madalina Tin won in 1:37.33, while the men's team of Jonathan Hugo, Patrick Adams, Michael Day and Joe Bartoch won in 1:32.02.
Tammee Ebert and Alison Zick went 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle. Ebert won in 10:20.02 and Zick took second in 10:23.11.
Alyson Noble won the 200 free in 1:53.28 and the 500 free in 5:02.15.
Jonathan Hugo won the 100 back in 50.69 and 100 free in 45.49. Joe Bartoch won the 50 free in 21.02 and Adam Martinson won the 200 back in 1:52.05.
Kyle Tannehill won the 400 IM in 2:40.30
UNLV won both sides of the 100 breast, 100 fly and 200 fly events. Shayna Burns won the 100 breast for the women in 1:04.41, while Patrick Adams won in 56.34 for the men. Julie Unrau won both the100 (57.23) and 200 fly (2:05.96), while Michael Day won in 100 in 49.93 and the 200 fly in 1:50.86.
The team of Jessie Bradshaw, Alyson Noble, Alison Zick and Madalina Tin combined to close the meet with a 1:37.28 victory in the 200 free relay. The men's team of Jonathan Hugo, Joe Bartoch, Andy Kapchinske and Bjorn Eriksson won in 1:21.93.
UNLV travels to Oklahoma City, Okla. for the Mountain West Conference Championships Feb. 19-22.
