LAS VEGAS - The University of Texas shot seven under par and leads the field after the first round of the Toyota Men's Collegiate Championship at Southern Highlands Golf Club on Friday.

Host UNLV trails the Longhorns by a single stroke after carding a six-under 282 as a team. Top-ranked Clemson and Arizona State are tied for third at four-under.

Georgia's Kevin Kisner is the individual leader, burning up the par-72, 7,381-yard course with a seven-under 65. He leads North Carolina State's Jason Moon by one shot.

The Rebels placed two individuals in the top 10. Both senior Brien Davis and freshman Mitch Carlson are tied for fourth place after three-under par rounds of 69.

Sophomore Ryan Moore is tied for 18th overall at one-under, and sophomore JC Deacon's one-over par 73 rounded out the Rebels' team total. Freshman Ryan Posey's 74 was not counted toward the team total, nor were the rounds shot by Travis Whisman or Troy Denton, who both played as individuals. Whisman carded a 74 and Denton shot 77 at the Rebels' home course.
