The following bio is entering the 2005-06 season... UNLV: Begins his fifth year in the Rebel system ... has played in four career tournaments. 2004-05: Played in two tournaments for the Rebels ... finished 78th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship (245) and tied for 96th at the William H. Tucker Invitational (239) ... his low round was 79 at the Tucker. 2003-04: Played in UNLV[apos]s home tournament, the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship ... tied for 76th in just his second college tournament ... recorded a total of 239 with his low round being a 77. 2002-03: Played in UNLV[apos]s home tournament, the Toyota Men[apos]s Collegiate Championship ... tied for 51st in his collegiate debut with a seven-over 223, including a career-best 71 in the final round ... winner of the Maze award, which is presented annually to the Rebel golfer who best exemplifies the spirit of Rebel Golf. 2001-02: Redshirted, but practiced and trained with the team. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Dallas Academy in Dallas, Texas ... won four letters in golf and one in hockey ... led the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the state as a senior and was the individual runner-up ... finished in the top five at state all four years ... also posted four top-15 finishes in AJGA. PERSONAL: Troy Norwood Denton was born Dec. 21, 1982, in Dallas, Texas ... the son of Jim and Linda Denton ... has one sister, Amy, and one brother, Trey ... majoring in university studies with an emphasis in sociology and kinesiology. KNIGHT ON DENTON: 'Troy will be graduating this next year. We are excited about the progress he has made in school and earning a degree has really been a wonderful goal for him. He he is going to realize that for himself and his family, so we are really proud of him. One of the keys to this whole team is going to be depth and pushing everybody to a higher level and Troy is a big part of that.'
