COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The 21st-ranked UNLV baseball team picked up a 3-1 victory in the first game of a double-header on Sunday against Air Force. With the win, the Rebels improve to 31-11, 14-3 in Mountain West Conference play. The Falcons fall to 11-25, 0-16 in league play.

Robbie Van (4-4) threw a complete seven-inning game, giving up one run off five hits. He stuck out four and walked none.

Clayton Couch (0-2) picked up the loss. He gave up three runs off five hits in seven innings of work.

Robert VanKirk led the Rebels offensively, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Lead-off hitter Garett Shitanishi drove in two runs and finished the game 1-for-3.

Eddie Gill and Peter White contributed a single hit each. Patrick Dobson went 0-for-3, ending his consecutive game hitting-streak at 12 games.
