LAS VEGAS - With UNLV's first football game of the 2003 season nearing kickoff, head coach John Robinson's radio and television shows get running this week.

"The John Robinson Radio Show," normally scheduled for Thursdays, can be heard on a special night this week because of the Friday opener -- Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 7 to 8 p.m. on the ESPN 920 AM The Home of the Rebels.

For the third straight year, the show will originate from the ESPN Zone inside the New York New York Hotel. The public is invited to join Robinson, co-host Tim Neverett and special guests each week for a fast-paced hour that covers not only UNLV, but also the entire world of football. Also, "Gametime With UNLV Football" will appear for the ninth consecutive season on KLAS-TV 8 beginning this weekend. Sports Director Dave McCann joins Robinson every Sunday for a unique half-hour of game reviews, previews and program features.

Normally scheduled for 11:30 p.m. each Sunday, this week's premiere edition will air at 3 p.m. because of the Labor Day Telethon. The show will also be on each Sunday at 9 p.m. on KLAS sister station Las Vegas One.
