HONOLULU - The UNLV women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 30-26) decision to No. 25 Loyola Marymount in the first game of the Sprint Hawaii Invitational.
The loss drops the Rebels to 6-4 on the season and improves the Lions to 11-1.
Tarin Keith led the Rebels with 15 kills and a .400 (15-3-30) attack percentage. She also tallied 10 digs and two block assists.
Leiana Oswald finished the match with 11 kills and four digs. Kristin Koochi added 10 digs at the libero spot.
Patricia Assuncao added nine kills in the three-game match. She also had nine assists and one block assist.
Nicki King started, but injured her ankle in the first game and was unable to return. Tamara Kauliakamoa took over setter duties and finished with 26 assists, three service aces and eight digs.
UNLV takes Friday off before tackling the No. 2 ranked Rainbow Wahine on Saturday.
