GAME PREVIEW
UNLV (1-1) will look to win its first road game of the season by traveling to Wisconsin (2-0) Saturday in a nationally televised game ... The Badgers are ranked No. 14 in the AP and 15 in the Coaches' Poll ... The Rebels hope to bounce back from a 46-24 defeat at Kansas while the Badgers will play their second straight at Camp Randall Stadium after getting by Akron 48-31 last Saturday ... UNLV will attempt to avoid losing its first two road games for the fourth consecutive year ... This marks only the eighth time that UNLV will face an opponent from the Big Ten as the Rebels are 1-4 vs. the Badgers and 0-2 vs. Northwestern ... UW is 12-5 vs. MWC teams (1-0 vs. AFA, 0-1 vs. BYU, 3-1 vs. SDSU, 2-1 vs. Utah and 2-1 vs. Wyoming) ... UNLV, which won its 2003 opener on ESPN, is 1-2 all-time on ESPN2 with its last appearance coming vs. UW in '02.
BADGERS vs. REBELS NOTES
Last year's matchup made national news for the wrong reasons as power was knocked out at Sam Boyd Stadium and the game was ruled final at 27-7 with 7:41 still remaining in the fourth quarter ... The Badgers have outscored the Rebels 131-31 in the last three meetings ... Two members of the UW staff previously coached at UNLV: offensive coordinator Brian White (1990-92 & '94) and QB coach Jeff Horton, who was an assistant (1990-91) and then head coach (1994-98) ... Horton led the Rebels in their last battle at Camp Randall (1998) ... Two members of the current UNLV coaching staff were on the school's last trip to Mad Town: eighth-year defensive coordinator Mike Bradeson (then the school's DBs coach) and offensive graduate assistant coach Chris Hayward, who made one of his two career starts at quarterback vs. the Badgers ... The interregional series will continue as UNLV will again play at Camp Randall next year (Sept. 11, 2004) and the Badgers are slated to return to Las Vegas on Sept. 8, 2007 ... The schools also split a men's basketball series the last two seasons ... UNLV's only three sell-outs at Sam Boyd have all come vs. UW (42, 075 in 2002, 40,091 in 1996 and 32,207 in 1986).
