Henry Wins Second MWC Weekly Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV's RanDee Henry was named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. This is the second MWC weekly honor of the season for Henry, as she was also named on Dec. 8, and this is the sixth time in 10 weeks that a Lady Rebel has been named conference player of the week.

A 6-1 junior forward from Detroit, Mich., Henry averaged 25 points, 7.5 rebounds, and shot 61 percent from the floor while leading UNLV to wins over Colorado State (92-87) and Wyoming (67-47). Against Colorado State on Jan. 22, she scored 17 points in 26 minutes of action and added four rebounds. In the win over Wyoming, Henry was 13-of-22 from the floor, including 2-of-3 from downtown, to tie her career-high with 33 points, and added 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

Henry continues to lead the MWC in scoring with 19.4 ppg, and also is first in field goal percentage at 55.0 percent and fifth in rebounding at 7.2 rpg.

The Lady Rebels, 14-2 overall, 3-0 in the conference and riding a nine-game win streak, return to action on Thursday night as they face Air Force at 7 pm in Colorado Springs, Colo.
