The final game of the first half of the MWC women's basketball season will feature the league's top two teams, as first place Utah (16-4) and second place UNLV (16-3) face off for the first time this season this on Sunday afternoon in the Thomas & Mack Center. The game, being televised by Fox Sports (RM), will tipoff at Noon, and all tickets are $1 as part of UNLV's "Break the Record Attendance Day". As always, kids under 12 are free.

With Utah bringing a perfect 6-0 MWC record into the game, the Lady Rebels know they are in position to earn a tie atop the standings with a win today, after going 5-1 over their first six games in league play. Not only is Sunday's game a matchup of the top teams in the MWC, its also a contest between offense and defense. The Lady Rebels have been on a tear offensively, scoring 75.2 points per game, and have averaged a blistering 78.2 ppg in conference action. UNLV is a perfect 14-0 when they score 70 or more points, all but two of their 16 wins this year have been by 10 points or more, have reached 90 points three times this season, and their +14.3 winning margin is also top in the conference. Utah on the other hand is holding teams to 53.0 ppg, and have allowed over 70 points just three times this season, all on the road. Four of their last six opponents have been held to 45 points or less.

UNLV is 12-0 at home this season, and the Lady Rebels' 12-game home win streak is tied for 11th best in the nation. The Lady Rebels are dominating the conference statistics, as a Lady Rebel leads the conference in seven of the 12 categories, including scoring, rebounding, and blocks.
