LAS VEGAS - No. 1 Florida leads the field after shooting an 11-under par 277 in the first round of play at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship on Friday.
The Gators packed all four scorers into the top 20 and two into the top five to post a two-stroke lead over both Clemson and Arizona State.
The host Rebels sits in a three-way tie for seventh place after shooting 289 as a team at the par-72, 7,381-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Arizona's Henry Liaw leads the individual race after shooting a seven-under-par 65. Liaw holds a one-stroke edge over Clemson's Jack Ferguson and Arizona State's Niklas Lemke, who carded matching 66s.
UNLV's Ryan Moore, the tourney's defending champion. Shot a three-under 69 on the day and sits in a tie for 10th.
Rounding out the scoring for UNLV were a pair of 73s from Andres Gonzales and Travis Whisman, and a 74 from Matt Edwards, a local product from Coronado High School who made his collegiate debut.
Second-round action will commence at 8:00 a.m. PST.
