LAS VEGAS - Arizona State shot a 12-under-par 276 in the second round to pace the field and overtake top-ranked Florida for the team lead at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship.
At 21-under par, the Sun Devils lead the Gators by three strokes through two rounds. Both teams pulled away from the field as Florida holds a 12-shot advantage over third-place Georgia.
The host Rebels slipped two spots on Saturday, falling to ninth place after shooting 290 at the par-72, 7,381-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Individually, Wake Forest's Bill Haas took the top spot after shooting a five-under par 67. Haas is nine under for the tournament and holds a one-stroke lead over Florida's Camilo Villegas.
UNLV's Ryan Moore, the tournament's defending champion, is tied with three other players at seventh place and is just three strokes behind Haas for the lead. Moore matched his opening round score of 69.
Travis Whisman was the best Rebel on the day, shooting a four-under par 68 to move to three under.
Matt Edwards chipped in a 74 to the team total, and Andres Gonzales shot a 79 to complete the Rebels' scoring.
Final round play will begin at 8:00 a.m. PST.
