LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's basketball team received a postseason bid for the fourth straight season, as the Lady Rebels will host Arizona State in the first round of the Women's NIT on Thursday night in the Cox Pavilion. The game time is set for 7:30 pm, ticket prices will be announced on Monday.

UNLV, who finished third in the Mountain West with a 22-7 overall record and a 10-4 conference mark, will play in the WNIT for the third time in the last four years, and sixth in school history. This will be the first time the Lady Rebels have hosted a WNIT contest. Under sixth-year head coach Regina Miller, UNLV advanced to the second round in the 2001 tournament, and fell at Oregon State 77-58 in last year's tournament.

Arizona State received its school-record fifth consecutive postseason bid. The Sun Devils own a 17-11 record for the season, and tied for third in the PAC-10 with an 11-7 mark, but lost five of their last seven games, including a 70-50 setback to UCLA in the conference tournament.

The winner of Thursday's game will take on the winner of the Arkansas State-Rice matchup in the second round at a time and location to be determined after both games are completed.

The WNIT features 32 teams in a single-elimination format, with all games hosted by participating schools at on-campus sites.
