UNLV is playing for its first-ever WNIT championship as the Lady Rebels take on the Creighton Bluejays in Tuesday night's title game at 7:05 pm (CST) in the Civic Auditorium. UNLV brings a 26-7 record into the game, with the 26 victories tying for third-most in school history, and a win would give the Lady Rebels their most victories since the 1989-90 squad that set a school record with 28 (28-3, final national ranking of fifth). They will take on a Creighton (23-9) team that reached its first WNIT championship game as well after advancing to the semifinals last year before falling to eventual champion Auburn 73-62 in Omaha.

UNLV has the lowest margin of victory of any team to ever reach the WNIT championship. The Lady Rebels have won their four games by three, two, three, and six points for a total of 14 points over four games, an average of 3.5 ppg. Creighton won its first four games in the WNIT by an average of 9.25 ppg.

UNLV is winning off its offense, averaging a MWC-high 70.6 ppg and 44.0% shooting from the floor. They are 16-0 when they score 70 or more points this season. The Lady Rebels also rank fourth in the nation with an +8.7 rebound margin, including an impressive +10.8 in WNIT play.
