Matchups Announced

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's basketball team's first round Mountain West Conference Tournament game will be played at 10 p.m. MST against New Mexico on Thursday, March 11 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo. The game will be shown live on ESPN.

UNLV finished the regular season with a 16-11 overall record and a 7-7 mark in conference play to secure the #4 seed. UNLV finished conference play with an 89-88 home loss to BYU Saturday.

New Mexico earned the #5 seed through a tie-breaker with San Diego State. Both teams finished 5-9 in MWC play. New Mexico enters the MWC Tournament with a 14-13 overall record.

UNLV swept the season series with New Mexico as it recorded an 89-80 win at the Thomas & Mack Center on Jan. 31, and most recently won at The Pit 78-75 on Mar. 1.

The winner of the UNLV/New Mexico game will face the winner of #1 Air Force (22-5, 12-2) and #8 Colorado State (12-15, 4-10) on Friday, March 12 in the semifinal round, also at 10 p.m. MST on ESPN.

The championship game will be held at 8 p.m. MST on Saturday, March 13 on ESPN with an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament on the line.
