LAS VEGAS - All UNLV fans can get a sneak peek of the 2004 edition of the Rebel football team during a Fan Appreciation Day scrimmage at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday August 21. The event, including parking, is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the squad is scheduled to take the field at 7 p.m. for the workout, which will last approximately one hour. Fans can pick up free schedule posters courtesy of Findlay Toyota that can be autographed by players on the field following the practice, which is the only organized scrimmage scheduled during preseason camp open to the public. Fans can also stay to enjoy a barbecue dinner just outside the stadium at Rebel Experience. Prices for the meal, which will feature chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs, are $10 per adult and $5 per kids 12 and younger. Season tickets will be on sale at Sam Boyd Stadium during the event. The Rebels open the season on September 18 by hosting Mountain West Conference rival Air Force. Tickets to that game as well as the other four individual dates are on sale now.
