LAS VEGAS - UNLV will play at TCU next year as the Mountain West Conference announced Thursday the 2005 and 2006 intra-conference football schedules. The configuration accommodates the Horned Frogs' entrance into the Conference beginning in fall 2005 and provides a balance of four home and four road games per institution each season. The Rebels, who only have three home MWC games this fall, will now host Utah, BYU, San Diego State and Colorado State while traveling to TCU, Wyoming, New Mexico and Air Force in 2005. Those groupings will remain the same at least through 2006. Unless subsequently altered by the membership, this new scheduling configuration will continue for the 2007 season and beyond. UNLV and TCU played each other three times in football when the schools were both members of the then 16-team Western Athletic Conference from 1996-98. TCU, which will compete for the last time as a member of Conference USA this fall, holds a 2-1 advantage in the series, including a 1-0 mark in Fort Worth. The new future conference schedules for every MWC school are available at www.TheMWC.com.
