LAS VEGAS - All fans are invited to once again attend the UNLV Football Quarterback Club luncheons, which begin this coming Monday at an exciting new location. The weekly event will now kick off at noon at Bahama Breeze, a Caribbean-themed restaurant located just minutes from campus on the corner of East Flamingo Road and Paradise Road (375 Hughes Center Drive). A joint production of the UNLV Rebel Football Foundation and Rebel Athletic Fund, the buffet-style luncheon features UNLV Head Coach John Robinson and various guests, including players and assistant coaches. Prices for the luncheon are $15 per person and $10 for UNLV faculty/staff as well as current members of the UNLV Alumni Association. Please note that because of travel conflicts, the second luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at noon. Also, there will not be a luncheon during the team's scheduled off-week on Oct. 25. Another change in 2004 is that the luncheon will also be broadcast as part of the coach's weekly radio show on a tape-delayed basis. Hosted by new UNLV football play-by-play radio announcer Dave McCann, "The John Robinson Radio Show" this year will air Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on ESPN 920 AM, unless otherwise announced.
