Game Switched To ESPN

Sept. 3, 2004

LAS VEGAS - In a late change Friday, UNLV's season-opening football game on Sunday at No. 14 Tennessee has been switched to appear on ESPN instead of ESPN2. Kickoff from Neyland Stadium is still slated for 5 p.m. in Las Vegas, but now on ESPN (Cox Cable 30). UNLV holds a 4-5 all-time record on ESPN, including downing Toledo 28-18 on a Friday night game to open the 2003 season at Sam Boyd Stadium. The Rebels have opened their season on national TV for a school-record four straight seasons.
