UNLV Holds Off Missouri, 74-71

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Odartey Blankson scored 18 points, including a 3-pointer from the top of the arc that broke a tie with 44 seconds left in the game, to lead UNLV over Missouri 74-71 on Wednesday.

Blankson, who scored 15 second-half points, was 6-of-13 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line for the game. He also had eight rebounds as the Rebels went 10-of-20 from 3-point range.

UNLV also was led by Michael Umeh with 12 points and Andy Hannan with 11 points.

Linus Kleiza scored a game-high 24 points for Missouri (10-13) along with eight rebounds. Thomas Gardner scored a career-high 23 as Missouri suffered its fifth straight loss and is now 0-6 on the road.

The Tigers led 37-32 at halftime and rallied from a 56-45 deficit with 8:32 left in the game to tie it, 67-67, with 1:15 left. Missouri jumped to a 13-3 lead to start the game but the Rebels answered with a 13-2 run to take the lead with 10:32 in the first half.
