TUCSON, Ariz - UNLV's season-high three-game winning streak came to a halt Wednesday afternoon as the Rebels lost 15-4 to No. 10 Arizona at Frank Sacet Field.

The Wildcats rapped out two doubles and a triple and scored seven runs in the third inning to break open the game.

Efren Navarro Jr. gave up eight runs over 2.1 innings to take the loss for the Rebels, who dropped to 6-15. Arizona starter David Coulon (2-0) earned the win for the Wildcats.

Leading 2-0 heading into the bottom of the third inning, the Wildcats reeled off seven runs to put to rest any thoughts of the Rebels extending their winning streak to four games. Arizona sent 12 batters to the plate in the frame, knocking Navarro Jr. out of the game after he gave up six of the eight runs and recorded only one out.

UNLV broke through for four runs in the sixth inning but still trailed Arizona 11-4 heading into the final three innings. Justin Tellam hit a double down the left field line in the sixth that scored two in the inning.

The Rebels begin Mountain West Conference play this Friday at home when UNLV hosts Air Force for a three-game series this weekend at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
