Final Stats

PROVO, Utah (AP) - Odartey Blankson scored 22 points to lead UNLV past BYU 76-66 in the regular season finale Saturday for both teams.

UNLV (15-12, 7-7 Mountain West) won six of its final seven games and claimed the fourth seed in the Mountain West Conference tournament next week. BYU (9-20, 3-11) dropped six of its final seven and ended up with the seventh seed.

BYU led 37-33 at halftime, but the Rebels broke away in the second half, holding the Cougars scoreless over seven minutes while netting 18 unanswered points.

Michael Umeh scored 20 points for UNLV - 15 of them in the second half.

Mike Hall lead the Cougars with 22 points, while Jared Jensen scored 12 and Austin Ainge chipped in 10 points.
