LAS VEGAS - Individual game tickets to all of UNLV's men's basketball games for the 2006-07 season will go on sale Monday, October 16 at 10 a.m.
The 2006-07 UNLV men's basketball season will get off to an exciting start on Tuesday, November 7 with the Legends & Friends Classic golf event, a Runnin' Rebel alumni basketball game and former Rebel great Greg Anthony's jersey retirement during its exhibition game that evening against Dixie State College at the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLV opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 10 at home against Hawaii. The game against the Rainbow Warriors will mark the first of five straight home games to open the season. The Runnin' Rebels, who enter their third season under head coach Lon Kruger, return nine letterwinners for this season including three starters from last year. The roster is an experienced one with eight upperclassmen and a total of five seniors.
Ticket prices for home games at the Thomas & Mack Center are $28 for plaza level and $12 for balcony level. Tickets may be purchased online at UNLVtickets.com, at the Thomas & Mack Center box office and by calling (702) 739-FANS.
Tickets for UNLV's game in St. George, Utah, on Dec. 2 against Northern Arizona may be reserved by calling the UNLV Athletics ticket office at (702) 895-3679. Prices for that game are $30 for center court seats, $15 for baseline tickets and UNLV students are $5 with valid ID. Seating capacity for that contest, which will be played at Dixie State College's Burns Arena, will be approximately 4,500.
Season tickets remain on sale and can be purchased by calling (702) 739-FANS.
Early season ticket promotions are also available starting with the Alumni/Dixie State (Anthony jersey retirement) game on Nov. 7, where balcony tickets are available for $5.
A buy one get one free offer is available for the Hawaii/Eastern Washington games as well as the UC Santa Barbara/Washburn games. Fans who purchase a $12 balcony ticket to the Nov. 10 Hawaii game will receive a free balcony ticket to the Nov. 14 Eastern Washington game and fans purchasing a balcony ticket to the Nov. 17 UC Santa Barbara game will get a free balcony ticket to the Nov. 21 Washburn game.
The Nov. 25 San Francisco game will be canned food night. Fans who donate a can of food may purchase a balcony ticket to the game for $5.
