PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - UNLV sophomore Nikol Dimitrova lost in straight sets in the first round of qualifying at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday.

Dimitrova, who already was ousted from doubles in the prequalifying round, lost to Duke's Melissa Mang 6-4, 6-0. She will now await play in the consolation draw.

Junior Elena Gantcheva is also at the national event and begins play in the main draw on Thursday.
