Dec. 15, 2006

LAS VEGAS - UNLV wide receiver Ryan Wolfe and his teammate, linebacker Jason Beauchamp, have both been named freshman All-Americans by College Football News (CFN)/Fox Sports.

The record-setting rookie out of Santa Clarita, Calif., became the first-ever freshman to lead the MWC in receiving yards with 911 and shattered multiple school marks.

Beauchamp was named to CFN's third team after previously earning honorable mention from Sporting News. The San Diego native played in all 12 games and finished third on the team with 69 total tackles. He ranked third on the squad with 6.0 tackles-for-loss and was third with 3.5 quarterback sacks as well as forcing one fumble and recovering another.
